CONTENT ADVISORY: Buried contains frequent use of profanity.
Halloween is coming early this year with the world premiere of Buried: A Live Play written by Guinevere Govea in a show that’s a completely streamed performance through the Twitch platform.
Buried is a show where comments and view counts are characters of their own, and nothing is sacred. The story follows two teenagers on the hunt for fame and fortune. Together they search the woods of North Carolina for buried treasure, with their only clues being a rickety poem inspired by the recently found treasure of Forrest Fenn. Much like the ghost stories we tell each other around a campfire, Buried is meant to get your heart racing and your blood pumping, especially now, when going on adventures of your own is a rare commodity.
BURIED FOR NCCADV
Team Buried is raising funds for North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCCADV). Our play and many of our team members are based in North Carolina and so we want to support an NC organization that addresses women’s issues and speaks to the sensitive season of Covid-19 considering federal budget-cuts. As an all female-identifying cast and creative team, we feel this is our most conscious collective decision. For more information about NCCADV, visit https://nccadv.org.
